"Emotional Branding"

The video I watched about "Emotional Branding" really got me thinking about how artist also use the techniques of advertising companies. A big goal of the advertising companies is to connect with the consumer emotionally. Another goal of theirs is to have consumers join a product like you would join a cult by making the consumer feel a belonging. The first artist I think of that has successfully done all of the above is Banksy (a British graffiti artist). He defenitally has a cult fallowing. I think one of the ways he does this is with the emotional connection and political ideas that comes through his art. With these ideas that comes through his art people want to support him because it makes people feel they belong to a cuase. Here below is one of his pieces.
